Onyx has purple eyes and purple hair which she ties into two puffy bunches using hot pink scrunchies. She has pale white skin and a small beauty mark on the left side of her lips. She wears a white midriff-baring top with light pink polka dots under a black jacket with a red-violet spiked handcuff on each wrist, a black belt, a short white miniskirt, light pink tights, and black boots with reddish-violet straps, silver spurs, grey toes and black soles. She also wears multiple ear piercings and has lavender streaks in her hair.Her gem is purple in color and is in the shape of a moon.

Well Memory Book, wadda ya know dreary weather. The clouds are hanging like buzzards in the sky. The rain won't stop pouring down and the whole house shakes when it thunders – truly another beautiful day. Do you think High Schools have a higher chance of being struck by lightning? I hope so. Jasper's having a party and I can't say I'd go if the BFFL weren't forcing me to be social... then again, Flint might be there. I have to call Topaz for a fashion-consultation.

Personality

She is the only goth queen at her school, who is very cynical and unique as expressed by her Gothic clothing and gloomy outlook on life. She is a level-headed girl who is not afraid to tell the truth and has a distaste for anyone who lies and manipulates others.

Her favorite food is double cheeseburgers with a handful of onions and she enjoys making fun of cheerleaders and beating boys at anything. Her favorite colors are black and purple.

Etymology

She is named after the Onyx gem.

Her name is a troll-pun using the German surname "berg". "Von" means "from", "Berg" means "mountain" or "Mountains" in several Europeon language. "En" means "in". Her name translates to "Onyx, Troll from in the mountain".

Trivia

• Her attraction to Flint is most likely based upon both of them (goth and rocker) being from what is often linked to the "outsider" culture. Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, often reference the occult, of which the gothic culture also references.
• Dark colors (black and purple) are common colors int he stereotype of a goth. Black symbolizes death and is part of the occult assoication, of which the gothic fashion is based upon.
• She may have a younger brother. This makes her and Topaz the only members of the BFFL with siblings.
